Michael Dauchot, M.D., MBA, CFA

Dr. Michael Dauchot has a combined 34 years of experience in the field of healthcare, both as a practicing physician and investor. Mike began his career in healthcare in 1989, after graduating with an M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. 

After an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago, he became a practicing physician in private practice.  While in practice, he attended the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.  In 1994, he completed his studies at Kellogg with an MBA in finance.   Mike then joined the investment bank Robertson Stephens in San Francisco as a research analyst in healthcare. 

Dr. Dauchot worked on multiple IPO’s and pre-IPO’s, performing in-depth due diligence and financial analysis, with a focus on income statement projections and valuation. After Robertson Stephens, Mike joined Allianz Asset Management in 1999 as a senior health care research analyst and mutual fund manager of the Allianz Global Health Care fund.  The fund invested exclusively in healthcare but across all subsectors of that industry, including healthcare services, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. 

Dr. Dauchot was profiled in the New York Times and Barron’s in 2000.  He later joined Pequot Capital Management in 2005 as a research analyst in biotechnology, and returned in 2006 to Allianz Asset Management.  In 2018 Dr. Dauchot became a private investor and financial consultant for healthcare companies and investors.  Mike is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the Angel Capital Association, and a licensed physician in the state of California.  He completed his premedical studies at Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in chemistry.
